Visa Requirements

IMPORTANT: All foreign participants of the event are required to obtain an Indonesian VISA prior to entering the country.

Please apply for a VISA through the Official Indonesia Immigration Website, according to the instructions below:

1) For those who will participate in the event but NOT being speakers or performing any kind of presentation VISA TYPE: B1 – Tourist (VISA On Arrival)*

Application steps

  2. Click on Apply
  3. On the next page, select your country from dropdown list
  4. Choose the main purpose of your visit: “Investment, Business or Government
  5. Choose the sub-purpose of your visit: “Business, Meeting and Goods Purchasing”
  6. Select the type of VISA: “B1 – Tourist (Visa on Arrival)”
  7. Visa Duration: 30 days
  8. Click on “Detail & Login” and follow the next steps indicated on the website

Required documents

For the B1 Tourist e-VOA, the required documents are:

  • Digital copy of passport valid for 6 months
  • Departure ticket from Indonesia
  • International credit card for payment of fee
  • Address of stay (hotel/residence) – as per your hotel booking

*NOTE: Despite the name of the visa is B1 Tourist “Visa on Arrival”, it is possible to apply and issue it online prior to the trip (highly recommended).

2) For those who will participate of the event as speakers or perform any kind of presentation, including papers/posters; or for those who will be part of the event organizing team - VISA TYPE: C10

Application steps

  3. On the next page, select your country from dropdown list
  4. Choose the main purpose of your visit: “Professional or Employment”
  5. Choose the sub-purpose of your visit: “Invited Event Participants”
  6. Select the type of VISA: “C10 – Invited as event participant and temporary work without being bound by a contract with a guarantor in Indonesia”
  7. Visa Duration: 60 days
  8. Click on “Detail & Login” and follow the next steps indicated on the website

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 (six) months (for holders of travel documents other than passports such as emergency passports, documents of identity, etc. must be valid for 12 months).
  • Personal bank statement for the last 3 month period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
  • Latest colour photograph.
  • Invitation from the person or organization directly responsible for the event, which explains the details of the agenda and the material to be presented*.

*NOTE: The Invitation letters will be provided by Alliance One by email, and for that we will need the participants who will apply for the C10 VISA to provide on the registration website the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Passport expire date
  • Email address (for receiving the invitation letter)

IMPORTANT: Participants from most of African countries are not eligible for the B1 Tourist VISA on Arrival. In this case, those participants must apply for a C10 VISA.

Currency

The official currency in Surabaya is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

Tipping is not obligatory in Indonesia.
